Matthew Frerck

This is Mr. Frerck's first year teaching at Wilson Middle School. Before joining Wilson, he taught for 2 years at Frankford Middle School. Mr. Frerck is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where he studied Double Bass Performance and Jazz Studies. 

Before college, Mr. Frerck graduated from Plano Senior High School and attended Vines HS. As a high school student, Mr. Frerck was a TMEA All-State Musician, placing first in the All-State Jazz Band for Jazz Bass two years in a row. 

Outside of teaching, Mr. Frerck enjoys performing with his jazz trio, playing retro video games, and reading a variety of books.
